He studied Electronic Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and Physics at the University of Cologne. He subsequently completed a postgraduate degree in Physics through a cooperation project between the Jülich research center and Daimler, in the R&D department in Ulm.

He began his professional experience as a software engineer and project leader for the development of embedded software for public transport aftermarket solutions. Since 2004, he has been working as a freelancer in the automotive industry, namely in the areas of testing, quality assurance, software architecture and project management for various OEMs and suppliers.

Since 2010 he works mainly as an engineer and manager in the area of functional safety.

In addition to these activities, it has supported VDA QMC since 2007, being responsible for the Automotive SPICE certification and the VDA conference Automotive SYS.

He is a member of the VDA QMC 13 working group and the ISO / IEC JTC1 / SC7 WG 10.
